Hi I am Kenny, I am a second year Mathematician at Cambridge. I had the great opportunity to do an internship for Dreams AI during last summer, as well as this winter. It was an incredible opportunity to learn and gain some hands on experience in Data Science.
First thing I have to mention is the company culture, from the day that I joined I was warmly welcomed into the team and given the freedom to explore and develop my work. The people working for Dreams AI are really friendly and excited about sharing their knowledge and interests with you and are quick to establish a personal connection with you even though you are an intern. Another plus were the working hours as well, as long as I worked hard and did my tasks well I was able to stark work a bit later and go to the gym with some other members of the team before we started. Also we all lived together in Mayfair by the Sea, which is one of the best accommodations in Honk Kong, which gave us access to a gym, basketball court, spa, pool, bowling alley and so much more, allowing us to bond as a team at all times.
The strong learning culture that is established at Dreams AI allowed me to learn more than I could possibly imagine. I was able to take my first steps into Data Science, as well as make huge improvements in my programming skills. The benefits of which I am able to see during my studies now and will definitely help me when looking for further projects in my career. However, what I found most important and rewarding during my internship was that by working for a start up I felt that my work actually had an impact, which gave me a great feeling of fulfilment.
