I’m Nat, a second-year mathematician at Cambridge. I came for an internship at Dreams AI in Hong Kong for 5 weeks in December. It was a very enriching experience. My focus was on the study of Riemannian geometry, and how it could be used for dimensional reduction of time series. My time at work at Dreams AI can be split in three categories, each one taking approximately a third of the time. The first one is learning. I spent a significant amount of time reading scientific and mathematics paper on the subject. The second one is implementing; either doing some calculations or coding. The third one was communicating. This included writing a report about my results, but also presenting in front of my colleagues what I had learned and achieved, and discussing ideas together.

Indeed, DreamsAI often felt more like a community than a company. We would keep discussing ideas after work, not because we had to but because how passionate we were. We would also spend fun time together after work or at the lunch break, including restaurants, table tennis, sauna, gym, … I already miss Dreams AI and Hong Kong and would love to go back!
